College Girl: Survivor Stories


Visiting authors Linda Martin Alcoff and Laura Gray-Rosendale recount sexual assault and the triumph of recovery.

Linda Martin Alcoff, author and professor of philosophy at Hunter College, and Laura Gray-Rosendale, a professor of English at Northern Arizona State University, read from their work and discuss sexual assault and recovery.

  • Thursday, Feb. 13, at 3:30 p.m. in the Knapp Hall Performance Space (300 Ridge Road). Gray-Rosendale will read from her book “College Girl: A Memoir,” in which she recounts her brutal sexual assault and recovery. It is a story of hope, survival and triumph.
  • Thursday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the lecture hall of the Burton D. Morgan Center (150 Ridge Road). Gray-Rosendale and Martin Alcoff will present a lecture titled “College Girl: Telling Our Transgressive Survivor Stories.”
