2010 Alumni Love Story and Song

Hayes and Quinn Griffin met at Denison in 2010 (10 year reunion has been postponed but they are video chatting with Denison friends to stay in touch!). Both played in the jazz band directed by Jazz Ensemble Director, Pete Mills. Hayes was on guitar and Quinn came in to sing a few numbers each semester. They reconnected while Quinn was at OSU getting her PhD in Classics and Hayes was on the road with the April Verch Band.

Hayes and Quinn married in 2015 on Denison’s campus and moved to Michigan in 2016 where Quinn took a tenure track job at Grand Valley State University in the Classics Department. Hayes currently manages the local radio station there, 88.1 WYCE, and plays with some local musicians in various combinations.
