Denison's Department of Biology gives students a broad exposure to and understanding of the natural world, and provides a solid preparation for graduate and professional schools. Our graduates pursue successful careers in education, research, medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical and nutritional fields, forest and park services, and conservation.
Dr. Roy "Nick" Rogers received the 2014 Master Dermatologist Award, from the American Academy of Dermatology. Rogers was a biology major at Denison and received an Alumni Citation from the college in 1993.
Tyrone Hayes has published research on the common herbicide atrazine that indicates it has a significant negative impact on the environment. He will lecture, “From Silent Spring to Silent Night: A Tale of Toads and Men.”
