Biography

Playwright Peter Pauzé, who has taught at Denison since 1994, brings a rich understanding of theatre to the courses he teaches, the productions he’s involved in, and the students he mentors.

Peter is an Associate Professor of Theatre with nearly 100 theatre productions to his credit. He both designs and supervises students who design scenery and lighting for Denison Theatre Department productions. Peter teaches a wide variety of classes and workshops covering everything from scenic and lighting design to playwriting and musical theatre to theatrical theory.

Peter’s career at Denison began in the Fall of 1994 after having taught for four years at Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA. He’s written several original plays that have been produced at various regional and educational theaters, including some that have been produced at Denison. In addition, he’s designed scenery for many regional theaters in Columbus. Peter is also a member of the United States Institute for Theater Technology and the Association for Theatre in Higher Education.
