SPRING THING Announced! The Theatre Department will present an eclectic series of short plays for its final performance of the season.

The Theatre Department is pleased to announce that Spring Thing 2014 will feature an evening of short plays. Each play is to be directed by a member of the Theatre faculty. Each director brings unique experience, training, and vision to the task. The line-up of plays is as follows:

The Black Spanish Costume by Kenneth Koch, directed by Cynthia Turnbull
Synthesis of Syntheses by Gugielmo Jannelli and Luciano Nicastro, directed by Cynthia Turnbull
The Lady Killer and the Four Seasons by Francesco Cangiullo, directed by Cynthia Turnbull

I Think They Moved To Buffalo by Peter Pauzé, directed by Peter Pauzé

The Remotest Indies of This Living Earth (excerpt) by Mark Evans Bryan, directed by Mark Evans Bryan

POOF! by Lynn Nottage, directed by Cheryl McFarren

The Role of Della by John Wooten, directed by Mark Seamon

Spring Thing 2014 will have three performances on 11, 12, 13 April.

Auditions will be held on Monday 10 February. A single audition will be held for all seven plays. You are encouraged to prepare a brief monolog for the audition, but materials for “warm readings” will be provided for those who do not come with a prepared piece. You will be asked to participate in some improvisational movement exercises as well.
