"The You and The I"
The mixed media installation, titled “The You and the I,” will be open from Tuesday, April 29, to Saturday, May 24. The main work, made from glass rods, sisal and spray foam, gets the viewer thinking of organic processes, how a body breaks things down. While not distinctly human, the installation is a homage to living organisms and their complexities.
Vivero is inspired by the work of the same name by Brazilian artist Lygia Clark. “This is an installation in which the viewer is invited to an exploration of an environment that resembles a journey inside an organism: visceral, abject though fascinating,” says Vivero.
