Alex Chin ’19 is a graduate from the class of 2019 and currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts where he works at a marketing software company called HubSpot as a customer support specialist. In this role, he works with HubSpot’s customers all over the world to implement and manage their HubSpot software for their businesses.

Ian Decker ’19 was teaching English in Barcelona following graduation, but he had to come home last March due to covid. He has spent the past year writing for several sports teams — the Washington Wizards, Mystics and Spirit — and will be pursuing a master’s in journalism at the University of Maryland in the fall.

Andrea Vallejo ’19 is currently a bilingual paralegal at the Lawyers’ Committee for Better Housing. They provide free legal services to low-income renters in Chicago and advocate for housing justice. In March 2020, she concluded her Fulbright year at the Universidad de Guadalajara CUAAD in Mexico! She would be more than happy to mentor International Studies majors to pursue a Fulbright Scholarship, as well as any BIPOC students seeking a career in the legal field.

Kinga Magiera ’15 is currently a Sr. Finance Manager at a start-up that focuses on small business insurance! She lives in Lincoln Park, Chicago, Illinois, with her husband and adorable dog, Misiu!

Brenda Falkenstein ’14 is now working as a Data Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington DC and loving it! The international studies major was excellent and greatly contributed to where she is today in her career. Best wishes and thank yous to all the fabulous faculty who support the major and Denison in general.

Ashley Holland ’14 is currently the Neighborhood Engagement Specialist for the city of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She enjoys using skills she learned at Denison to help residents learn about and engage with their local government.

Sara J Forbes ’13 is a Spanish teacher at The Hotchkiss School. She started here this school year (20-21).

Christy (Fayette) Howley ’12 started at Accelerant Holdings, a global insurance carrier, in December 2020, as a Member Manager, managing member managing general agents (MGAs). The company is UK based and expanded into the US in 2020, with a fully distributed (remote) workforce in the U.S. Her foundation built at Denison, including her international studies degree, has been key to her success in the insurance industry!

Blair Rubio (Deckard) ’07 has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing at T1V, Inc. T1V developing collaboration SaaS for companies with global workforces.

Fadoua El Bouamraoui ’06 is making a fresh start in her new home country Canada with new adventures and opportunities. Best decision of her life after the one she made to cross oceans from Morocco and join the Denison family!

Sara Rachel Margraf ’98 has recently been promoted to Deputy Director of Quality Control at the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR). SIGAR conducts oversight of U.S. reconstruction spending in Afghanistan
