About Athletic Training
The athletic training major is a curriculum that facilitates student understanding within the area of human health and function. Throughout this major students are challenged to make use of contemporary theories in order to comprehend the principles from which human health is restored, maintained, and enhanced. Substantive knowledge within the subject is reinforced through simulated clinical practice in which students prepare appropriate intervention strategies for selected dysfunctions.
What Do Our Majors Do After Denison?
Athletic training majors often pursue a career in one of the various physical health care professions, usually going on first to obtain a graduate professional degree. After completing their education our past majors are employed as athletic trainers, nurses, and physical therapists.
