Kappa (knowledge) Delta (duty) Pi (power), an international honor society in education, was founded by William Bagley at the University of Illinois in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. Since its founding, KDP has inducted women and men who advance scholarship, leadership, and service in education.

Educational Studies majors and minors are eligible to become members of KDP by maintaining a 3.0 overall GPA and completing six credit hours of coursework in Educational Studies.
