Off-campus study opportunities act as a catalyst in a Denison education. They are situated learning that amplifies campus-based classroom learning by extending it into socio-cultural contexts that help foster integration of the habits of consideration, engagement, and intentionality. This, in turn, engenders the practice of informed and empathetic judgment that is the hallmark of a liberally educated person.
On September 7, Off-Campus Study and President Weinberg invited the students who studied off-campus in the spring and summer to enjoy a glass of wine, munch on some cheese and crackers, and celebrate their time off-campus.
Dr. Sue Davis has recently joined the OCS staff as our new Interim Director. Dr. Davis is the former head of Denison’s Political Science department, and has a doctorate in Political Science from Emory University.
