The Vail Series and the Department of Music welcome Sam Bush as a headliner for the 2017 Bluegrass Concert. Bush has helped to expand the horizons of bluegrass music, fusing it with jazz, rock, blues, funk and other styles. He’s the co-founder of the genre-bending New Grass Revival and an in-demand musician who has played with everyone from Emmylou Harris and Bela Fleck to Charlie Haden, Lyle Lovett and Garth Brooks. Although Bush is best known for jaw-dropping skills on the mandolin, he is also a three-time national junior fiddle champion and Grammy award winning vocalist, as well as having been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Americana Music Association.

Tickets are free to Denison students, faculty, and staff. A limited number of tickets will be available to the general public for $15.00 each on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets may be reserved by email at vailseries@denison.edu.
