The Brilliant Brian Doyle
Doyle writes the weekly “Epiphanies” column at the American Scholar journal by Phi Beta Kappa and he edits Portland Magazine for the University of Oregon. His essays have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, Harper’s, Orion, Georgia Review, and many other magazines. His many honors include the Christopher Medal and a Catholic Press Association Book Award. His essays have been published in the annual Best American Essays and Best American Science & Nature Writing. “The Plover,” which Doyle calls his “Huge Whopping Headlong Sea Novel,” will be published in April.
