Immersion Program

Design Thinking for Business Transformation

For this program, we’ve partnered with Tim Hortons, one of North America’s largest quick-service restaurant chains. You will help them solve a real-world problem they’re currently experiencing. In this week-long immersion program, we will dig in deep and learn practical steps to imagine, ideate, prototype, and co-create answers to their existing business challenge. This is an exciting, high-profile business sure to give you great hands-on experience and add a sharp bullet point to your resume.

Program Details

  • Dates: May 24 - May 28
  • Duration: Five (5) Daily Sessions in one week
  • Time: 9 AM - 5 PM

Essentials of Finance & Accounting

In businesses and organizations, money matters. Gain a fiscal foundation that will support you across multiple industries and careers. Learn key concepts and principles of finance and accounting and build confidence for interviews, internships, and jobs.

Data Analytics

Data drives direction. Gain a key business skill by learning how to read data to identify problems and inform solutions. You’ll learn how to use data tools and techniques to collect, interpret, and share data.

Marketing

Marketing is more than just having a great idea. You’ll learn practical definitions, day-to-day practices, guerrilla tactics, and analog and digital tools that makeup marketing today — the kind of foundational marketing know-how that grounds you in an always-evolving landscape.

Selling: The Art of Persuasion

The concepts of sales — finding solutions, creating strategies, and building a foundation of best practices — are key tactics that will serve you well in a variety of careers in marketing, human resources, consulting, fundraising, customer service, and more. A proven four-step consultative process will help you learn to diagnose an issue and match it with a solution that fits.

The Journey Program

Learn how to design your own individualized Career Roadmap~ We’ll partner with you on a three-step process that sounds simple, but produces profound results. 1. Reflect on what is personally fulfilling. 2. Determine what success in life and career means to you. 3. Craft a detailed roadmap for achieving that success. Your personal roadmap will help you direct your college experience to ensure you use your entire time at Denison — academics, co-curriculars, and career preparation efforts — to create an outcome that fits your definition of success.

Class of 2021 Career-Ready Boot Camp

No push-ups or sprints, but plenty of action to get you job-search ready. Three afternoons of workshops set you up for success AND provide structured time for you to refine your résumé & cover letter, find opportunities, or prepare and send out applications. All with a team of coaches to support and guide you along the way!

We will cover the basic essentials that you need to know for any job search, as well as sessions on specific topics that you choose based on your interest (examples: graduate school, personal branding, a recruiter Q&A, and more!).

Class of 2022 Virtual Career-Ready Boot Camp

Get your career prospects in shape to ensure a strong start to your senior year! Senior Virtual Boot Camp offers workshops especially for seniors. Three afternoon workshops set you up for success AND provide structured time for you to refine your résumé & cover letter, find opportunities, or prepare and send out applications. Class of 2023 Virtual Career-Ready Boot Camp

Our Junior Year Boot Camp will help ensure you make the most of your Junior year to set you up for career success. The Boot Camp will include workshops AND structured time you can spend refining your résumé & cover letter, networking and more. A team of coaches will support and guide you along the way! RED Frame Consulting

Virtual Consulting Teams: In Red Frame Consulting, students serve as consultants for a client’s project. In two weeks, you solve real problems faced by real companies and gain real experience. Learn critical skills that will give you an edge when applying to jobs and internships! Pathstream partners with technology companies to build branded digital skills career programs through an easy-to-use online platform where you’ll navigate lessons, materials, labs, and projects in one place. Complete the program at your own pace and get help from instructors when you need it.

Curricula are built in partnership with leading companies from each industry, so you know you are acquiring current, in-demand skills. Boost your job search confidence by completing projects that mirror what you may be doing in your first role after Denison. Qualified instructors review all assignments and projects to provide personalized feedback so you can stay on track and gain the skills you need!
