Kelsey Conrad received her undergraduate degree in kinesiology and nutrition from Miami University. She then completed a combined Master of Science Dietetic Internship program at The Ohio State University in Medical Dietetics and Sports Nutrition and was credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). During her time at OSU, Kelsey completed a master’s thesis investigating the effects of a strength training program on components of the female athlete triad in adolescent female athletes in Central Ohio.
Conrad then pursued a PhD in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine in the College of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. Her dissertation investigated the role of specific dietary nutrients and the gut microbiota in vascular health and disease. At UC, Conrad completed the Preparing Future Faculty teaching certificate and taught Anatomy and Physiology as an instructor in the College of Nursing. Dr. Conrad now joins the faculty of the Health, Exercise, and Sport Studies department as a Visiting Assistant Professor.
