I started at Denison as the Assistant Director of Residential Communities for West Quad in 2015. Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and attending college in Canton, Ohio, I’ve spent my life traversing and learning about life at all corners of the state. Prior to Denison, I spent four years in Residence Life at Walsh University, and worked two years as a staff accounting in a local Cincinnati public accounting firm.
My work in Residential Communities is shaped by the things that are important to me: relationships, respect, and care. I view my role has providing a great experience to any student I interact with in any way possible. Supporting the Head Residents and Resident Assistants directly to ensure student needs are met is the top priority. I am deeply interested in building relationships with students because this is the easiest way to foster a strong community and make the residence halls the best environment possible. I do the best of my ability to use my BA in Accounting and Masters of Business Administration in ways that benefit our students and our field, whether it’s engagement in committees on campus or holding a position on a regional non-profit.
You’ll find me and my family taking strolls around campus. In addition to Big Red gear, you might catch me sporting my favorite Green Bay Packers shirt. Baseball is my sport of choice to follow, and even though they are division rivals of my favorite team (the Cincinnati Reds), I was happy to see the Chicago Cubs win the 2016 World Series and break a long standing curse held over their team.
