Denison University presents the 13th Annual Bluegrass Festival Concert featuring Larry Sparks and The Lonesome Ramblers. Among the most widely-known and respected touring musicians in bluegrass and gospel music today, Sparks began his career in the mid-1960s as guitarist with the Stanley Brothers and later became lead and vocalist for the Ralph Stanley and The Clinch Mountain Boys. He went on to form his own band in 1969 – The Lonesome Ramblers. Sparks has recorded and toured as a solo artist for over four decades, releasing over 50 albums and delighting fans with his soulful vocals and unparalleled musicianship. This concert is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.

The festival continues on Saturday night, March 4 at 7 p.m. at Swasey Chapel, with a performance by bluegrass legend Sam Bush. Tickets are free to Denison students, faculty, and staff. A limited number of tickets will be available to the general public for $15.00 each on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets may be reserved by email at vailseries@denison.edu.
