The Lisska Center for Scholarly Engagement is pleased to present a selection of mini-courses designed to introduce you to topics of interest in a fun, casual way during the month of January. Engage in intellectual inquiry and discourse with fellow students as you explore topics including women in American journalism, quantum computing, graphic novels, cubist art, the philosophy of Bob Dylan and more. Courses are taught by students, staff and alumni. Register for as many as you like!

Join a conversation about Bob Dylan’s early years, his influences, and how he eventually came to the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early 1960’s. Students will explore Dylan’s career and examine how he influenced major groups and individuals like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Jimi Hendrix.
