Denison University’s Environmental Politics and Decision-Making class holds a Congressional Debate.

The debate will cover topics of environmental concern in the modern United States (industrial agriculture, ocean exploitation, urban public transit, etc.). Three expert panelists will be present to moderate the debate.

This Congressional Debate represents a semester of dedicated work and in-depth research by Environmental Studies students. For the first two-thirds of the semester, students chose a topic of particular environmental concern, researched the legislation surrounding the issue, and constructed a bill in full Congressional format. During the last month, students were assigned specific Congressional roles and committees to review all submitted bills. Now, the class will decide the fate of all bills that have made it this far in the review process. It is sure to be a hotly- contested and entertaining debate centered on tackling massive environmental issues – we look forward to seeing you there!

Food and drink will be available.
