Celebrate with us in Boston!
Please join members of the Board of Trustees, President Adam Weinberg, and Boston-area members of our Denison family for an entertaining and informative celebration of our college’s recent successes and ambitious plans for a bright future. Because of your loyal support, we are able to unlock our students’ potential.
The festivities take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at The Liberty Hotel. The event consists of two parts — a program about a film written, filmed and edited by two Denisonians, followed by a reception featuring remarks by President Weinberg and brief video presentations — so feel free to attend either or both as your schedule permits.
The evening includes:
5 – 6 p.m. – Censoring Nuremberg: A documentary film by Dave Bussan ’81 and Tim Raycroft ’89Emeritus Professor of Cinema Dave Bussan ’81 and Tim Raycroft ’89 directed and produced “Censoring Nuremberg.” This short documentary chronicles Denison Professor Emeritus Arnold Joseph’s time as a translator of mail to and from Nazi prisoners at the Nuremberg Trials. After the screening of the film, Dave and Tim will be on hand to discuss the making of the film.
6 – 8 p.m. – Cocktail ReceptionMix and mingle with fellow Denisonians. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served. A brief program at 6:45 p.m. will include remarks by President Weinberg, as well as some short videos.
This event is being offered free of charge to all Denison alumni, families, and friends.
Recommended attire for the evening is business or business casual.
