Denison University welcomes Dan-el Padilla Peralta, Assistant Professor of Classics at Princeton University presenting “Undocumented: A Dominican Boy’s Odyssey from a Homeless Shelter to the Ivy League.”

Padilla Peralta will speak on his memoir “Undocumented,” tracing his path from undocumented immigrant living in New York City homeless shelters to Assistant Professor of Classics at Princeton University.

Padilla Peralta came to the US with his family on a short term visa from the Dominican Republic as a boy, but they overstayed their visa and his life as an undocumented resident began. In 2006, right before graduation, he discussed his undocumented status with the Wall Street Journal.
