The Denison University Chambers Singers, the select choir of Denison, will perform their first concert of the ’18-’19 academic year. Under the direction of Joel Garber and accompaniment of Philip Everingham, the program will feature works of love and faith. It begins with a set of Elizabethan materials from the late 16th century England, followed by part-songs and motets of Austrian composers Franz Joseph Haydn and Anton Bruckner. Finally, the program ends with a American colonial folksong set featuring guest musicians Sun Min Kim, piano; and Bebe Blumenthal, violin. The duration of the program is approximately 45 minutes.
