The Department of Theatre welcomes Available Light Theatre presenting “How We Got On,” a Midwestern hip-hop fable, written by Idris Goodwin and directed by Drew Eberly. This sweet and fresh coming of age story is a portrait of three artists as Midwestern MCs, pursuing their dreams despite all obstacles in the Golden Age of Hip-Hop.

Available Light Theatre is Ohio’s hippest and hottest presenter of new and original theatrical productions. Voted “Best Live Theater” in 2009 by the readers of Columbus Alive!, AVLT is renowned by audiences and critics alike for bold creations by local artists and regional premieres of important new work by playwrights from around the globe.
