Campus Viewing of "GOAT" for National Hazing Prevention Week
On Friday, Sept. 27, Denison will host a showing of the movie “GOAT” as the final event of National Hazing Prevention Week. “GOAT” has been recognized for having mainstream success and powerful social commentary, tackling issues such as hazing, binge drinking, (un)healthy masculinity, and social norming.
At 6:30 p.m., the event will begin with a panel Q&A to discuss how these issues present in the Denison community, with a focus on values congruence in organizations and teams.
Leaders of student organizations, as well as varsity men's basketball Head Coach Bob Ghiloni, will lead the panel. The movie showing will begin at 7 p.m., and audience members will receive a “viewer guide” to help them process issues in the film.
If you are interested in showing “GOAT” to your organization or department, please contact CLIC Fraternity and Sorority Life or the Office of Community Values and Conflict Resolution, and we will gladly share the film and resources.
