"Shameless Light," exhibit by Sheilah Wilson & Dani Leventhal

Exhibitions

The work will be shown Friday, December 9th at 7pm and is titled “Shameless Light”. The artists will be reading excerpts from private love letters of assorted women. The reading will take place against a backdrop of projected video including footage Wilson and Leventhal planned to shoot this week at White Sands National Monument in bright sunshine, sky conditions permitting. Wilson and Leventhal presented another work-in-progress edition of Shameless Light in Brooklyn recently. A “final cut” with their Carrizozo creative work rolled into it will premiere at the Whitney Biennial in New York next March.

Studio Art Professor Sheilah Wilson was born in Caribou River, Nova Scotia. Her art career has included teaching and fellowships in London, San Francisco and the University of New Mexico. Dani Leventhal is Professor of Drawing at the Ohio State University in Columbus.
