Kent is professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Skidmore College. Her research focuses on Hindus, Christians and ecology in south India. Kent is the author of “Sacred Groves and Local Gods: Religion and Environmentalism in South India,”
“Converting Women: Gender and Christianity in Colonial South India,” and co-editor of “Lines in Water: Religious Boundaries in South Asia.”
