Connor Hanrahan ’17 is fulfilling a dream that began seven years ago, when he bought his a pair of Oakley sunglasses, the first “quality item” purchase that he had saved expressly for. Hanrahan was so happy with his sunglasses that he wrote the company to express his delight.
Unexpectedly, the CEO wrote back and invited Hanrahan and his father to visit the company in California. Today Hanrahan is an intern with Oakley, where he’s eager to learn about the company from the bottom up.
An economics major who also is achieving a certificate in organizational studies, Hanrahan hopes that this is the first step to becoming Oakley’s CEO himself one day.
