Two Denison Students to Take Part in Singing Competition
Tema Cohen '21 and Meg Odell '19 each won first place in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) state singing competition this past Fall 2017. These two talented students competed against singers from over 40 universities and colleges in the state.
“Meg and Tema are now moving on to compete against music theatre singers from three states in the regional auditions on Saturday, March 3, at Michigan State University,” says voice instructor Belinda Andrews-Smith, with whom both Cohen and Odell study. In addition, both had leading roles in the recent Singers Theatre Workshop production of Bat Boy: The Musical.
