Dr. May Mei receives Bayley Bowen Fellowship

Faculty

We are pleased to announce that Dr. May Mei, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, was awarded the Bayley Bowen Fellowship.  This fellowship recognizes outstanding work in the classroom by a faculty member during his/her first three years at Denison.  With this honor, Dr. Mei will be awarded a full-year leave after her successful tenure review.  She spent her junior leave working with research collaborators at Virginia Tech. There, she gave a presentation entitled "Substitution Trace Maps" at the applied analysis seminar. She also organized a panel for graduate students on applying for academic jobs at small liberal arts colleges and presented "Step Two: Transitioning from Graduate School to the Tenure Track" to the local chapter of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. Congratulations Dr. Mei!
