50 years at Denison

Faculty

It is with a heartfelt thanks that we congratulate Dr. Daniel D. Bonar on his retirement after 50 years of distinguished leadership, exemplary teaching, and meaningful scholarly work that has impacted numerous lives at Denison and beyond. After his last class, Dr. Bonar, was “clapped out “ by over 100 students, alums, colleagues, and friends. Dr. Bonar had many achievements during his time at Denison including writing one of his many scholarly articles with famed mathematician Paul Erdōs, inspiring countless high school students through the running of the Doris G. Gordon High School Math Competition, publishing his text Real Infinite Series with former student Michael Khoury ’03, mentoring young faculty members, and touching the lives of thousands of Denison students in the most positive way. Thank you Dr. Bonar for your tireless devotion to Denison – you will be missed!
