The Ohio State University’s Computer Science and Engineering Department comprises 34 faculty with diverse research interests from Artificial Intelligence to Computer Graphics to Big Data. Collectively, we have won 34 CAREER awards from the National Science Foundation, the Office of Naval Research, and the Department of Energy. Our students are professors and industry leaders at Princeton, University of Michigan, Dartmouth College, IBM (Watson developer), Intel, and Google. Our success is fueled by creative and motivated graduate students. In this talk, I will detail a few ongoing research projects. These projects reflect the culture of achievement among our graduate students while also highlighting our diverse environment that welcomes women, underrepresented minorities, and students with liberal art backgrounds. I will also describe the application process.
