The celebration of Asia continues with a talk on “Post-Sovient Transtion In Central Asia” by Dr. Morggan Liu which will be moderated by Zarrina Juraqulova.

The talk “A Soviet Ideal for a post-Soviet Central Asia Urban Project” will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm in Olin 114 (Lecture Hall). It will be presented by Professor Morgan Liu, a professor at OSU with the Near Eastern Languages & Cultures Department, and Anthropology Department. It will be moderated by Zarrina Juraqulova, a professor of Economics at Denison University and Dr.Damira Sikhimbayeba, a Fulbright Scholar from Kazakhstan.

Dr.Damira Sikhimbayeba is visiting as part of Denison's Celebration of Central Asia, a series of events beginning with a Global Studies Seminar Monday, March 26. 2018. She and Dr. Vernon Schubel from Kenyon College will speak about Religion in post-Soviet Central Asia.
