Refugee Awareness Week,

More than just a statistic. A week dedicated to humanizing the refugee expirence. LISTEN Denisonians and poems of diaspora by Hibak '20, Sarah 21' Jenna '19, Simran '19 students of diaspora background will be sharing poetry pertaining to what it means to be a refugee. , WATCH “The staging post” Film screening following the Hazara-Afghan refugee community stuck in Indonesia after Australia 'Stopped the Boats, DISCUSS Denison and Refugee activism, A collaborative workshop to inform, and continue sustaining dialogue around ethical responses to the current refugee crisis.

International Studies is interdisciplinary and encourages all of its students to view the world from various perspectives.

Students are also driven to be broadly concerned with social, political, economical, and cultural processes, linkages, interdependencies, and power relations that connect individuals, communities, groups, states, and regions across the globe. Shared dilemmas and challenges tie the world's citizens together.
