Assistant Professor Anthony Bonifonte has a way with numbers - and with words.
Bonifonte entered a content to caption a cartoon of a large pinata opening with a rain of numbers falling on the people below.
Bonifonte’s winning captions? “Before computers, random numbers had to be generated by hand.” The caption was designed to instigate discussions on the use of random numbers in both designing and analyzing data.
The contest is a monthly offering by the Consortium for the Advancement of Undergraduate Statistics Education, a national organization whose mission is to support the advancement of undergraduate statistics education.
