Artist Talk: Jamie McHugh
The Denison Dance Department is proud to host Vail Guest Artist Jamie McHugh. He will discuss and display some of his work that is at the intersection of photography, landscape, body, and somatics.
McHugh celebrates the phenomenology of the human body through asomaesthetic lens in relation to three environments: self, nature and society. His work is informed by his study of multiple somatic systems including Body Mind Centering, and Alexander Technique. McHugh was also an apprentice with pioneer movement artist Anna Halprin, and is an ongoing student of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
