Students co-author paper presented at American Chemical Soc.
Jordan Fantini, Associate Professor of Chemistry, along with three students, traveled to the 2016 Spring National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in San Diego, held from March 13 to 17, 2016.
Professor Fantini gave an oral presentation on his work entitled “Methylene-bridge-linked dicalixarene as component for supramolecular assemblies in aqueous media.” Co-authors on that presentation were Emily (Maly) Cosco (’15), Rebecca Rabb (’16), and Marie Lance (’17).
Professor Fantini's student coauthors gave poster presentations. Ian Delahunty (’16) presented on “Synthesis of 2-alkylidenecalixarenes from 2-oxo-p-tert- butyltetramethoxycalixarene,” Ngoc (Jemma) Tran (’16) presented on “Synthesis and characterization of calixarenes with a triaryl- or tetraarylalkene group incorporated at the 2-position,” and Marie Lance (’17) presented on “Synthesis of sulfonated dicalixarenes for supramolecular assemblies via non-covalent host-guest interactions.”
