As part of Granville’s “Turn Off Your Screen” week, the Department of Physics & Astronomy will host an open house at the Swasey Observatory (weather permitting). Visitors will have the opportunity to engage in astronomy with the Swasey Observatory 9-inch refracting telescope, as well as 8-inch reflecting telescopes. Celestial objects for observing may include Jupiter, the moon, and the M13 globular cluster, among others. No tickets or registration required. We hope you can join us for an evening of astronomy!

In the case of cloudy skies, visitors may still enjoy a brief tour of this historic building.
