Biography: 

Kristy earned a B.A. in communications from Muskingum University. She officially joined the Denison community in 2010 as communications assistant after volunteering at the college since 2008. Her professional background includes a variety of endeavors within the banking industry, involving collection, indirect lending and system operations. She currently works in the University Communications office and also works with the Vail Series.

Biography: 

Jamie received a B.A. in English and studio art from Denison in 1978 and went directly to Time, Inc. as a photography researcher for Time, Life, People and Fortune magazines. He illustrated his first children's book for HarperCollins in 1990 and continued to publish trade books with HC, Scholastic and other publishers. He moved his home and illustration business from NYC to Granville and began working for Denison in 2008. His responsibilities include photography and magazine editing, and he is a contributing writer for both the magazine and TheDEN. Last year, one of his stories won a national CASE gold award for Best Article of the Year.

Biography: 

Maureen earned a B.A. in English with a concentration in literature from Penn State-Behrend in 2000. She has spent 12 years working on college magazines, first as an associate editor, then senior editor at The Penn Stater. During that time, the magazine earned a number of national awards, including Sibley Award from CASE—the highest award given by CASE to publications of its kind. Mo joined the Denison family in 2009 as editor of Denison Magazine, which has continued to earn national notice and top awards under her editorship. In addition, she co-manages the college's social media channels and writes for TheDEN.

Biography: 

Jack holds a B.S. in psychology and began working at Denison as an assistant football coach in 1974, while pursuing graduate-level work in organizational behavior at Ohio State. An allconference athlete while a student at Denison, he remained in the athletic department for 26 years as a coach, instructor, recruiting coordinator and sports information director. In 2000, after taking DU's sports promotion efforts online, he moved to University Communications and became Denison's first editor of new media. He was subsequently promoted to senior associate director (including stints as acting director) and administrative director, before being named director of the office in 2012.

Biography: 

Brett focused on graphic design and motion graphics at Kendall College of Art and Design, and pursued media studies at Columbus College of Art and Design. He worked independently for three years in disciplines including web development, graphic design and print publications prior to being brought in as a consultant to assist in the day-to-day management and development of Denison's current and emerging web properties. He officially joined the Denison staff full-time in 2012 as web communications specialist in the Office of University Communications.

Biography: 

Trained in electrical engineering and computer networking, Aaron joined the University Communications team to serve as its primary technical resource for managing the college’s public website servers, seating new sites, administering vendor access, monitoring performance, and coordinating software updates. He provides expertise in identifying and fixing issues related to website availability, and works to configure, customize, and extend the college’s public website content management systems and content delivery networks. Aaron also creates code to support new website development and to enhance the functionality of Denison’s existing web properties.

Biography: 

Ginny earned a B.A. in geology from Denison and worked in banking for several years. She returned to her alma mater in 2007, after more than 15 years of extensive volunteer work, including fundraising, event planning and public relations. In her role as media relations manager, Ginny handles the college's news and events releases, contributes content to TheDEN website, answers inquiries from and pitches story ideas to the media, and works in cooperation with departments across campus to help publicize their activities and events.

Biography: 

A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Patrick came to Denison from Japan, where he has most recently been involved in several high-end film, video and photography projects. He is an honors graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., and holds an Advanced Diploma of Film from the International Film School Sydney in Australia. Patrick is a former captain in the Signal Corps of the U.S. Army. Along with shooting and editing institutional video and still photography, he is responsible for developing multimedia strategies for the college’s online properties and social media channels.

Barbara earned a B.A. in American studies from Penn State’s Capital College Honors Program. She came to Denison in 2007, first as chief writer and senior associate director for media relations and then in her current role. She is a writer and editor, and she leads the talented team that creates editorial and art content for the college’s print and online publications, such as Denison.edu, TheDen, Denison Magazine, and advancement materials. Previously, she was associate director for publications, assistant editor of Dickinson Magazine, and capital campaign communications manager at Dickinson College for nearly 7 years. She also has been a magazine features writer and director of the Rappahannock Fiction Writers Workshop.

Biography: 

Scott directs the strategy, development and implementation of Denison's public digital presence (web, social and mobile). Previously, he planned and produced websites for a diverse group of clients. He has worked with musician Steve Winwood, Chicago.com, Illinois.com and Guitar.com, among others. In 2008, Scott published his first book, A Colossal Hoax (Rowman & Littlefield). He graduated with honors in history from Harvard College, and he holds an A.M. in American civilization from Brown University.
