    Full Description: "El secreto a voces," written by master Spanish playwright Calderón de la Barca (1600s), and presented in a courtly setting is a marvelous comedia that poses questions still relevant to contemporary audiences, How can we use language if, every time we speak, the words get in the way? What good are secret words of love if language betrays? What good is it to be sincere if sincerity cannot be affirmed? The play is performed by theatre graduates of the University of Murcia, Spain, who are touring the U.S. Performed in Spanish. Free and open to the public.

    Full Description: The Denison Department of Music presents the 17th Annual Denison Jazz Guitar Festival over two days. Saturday, March 8, instrumental clinics with Bob Ferrazza, Rick Peckham, Jack Wilkins and others from noon to 5 p.m. in the Burke Hall Rehearsal Room. Saturday, March 8, concert with Jack Wilkins at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9, concert with Rick Peckham at 4 p.m. in the Burke Recital Hall followed by a Grande Finale Concert featuring Jack Wilkins and festival participants, also in the Burke Recital Hall. Free and open to the public.

    Full Description: The Department of Theatre presents 'The Malvolio Project' by Betty Shamieh, Jonathan R. Reynolds Playwright-in-Residence. This devised experimental theatre project is a sequel to "Twelfth Night," centering on the character of Malvolio. After becoming a war hero and personal henchman to the King of Illyria, the newly knighted Malvolio returns to seek vengeance on a cast of characters who once tormented him. Volina, the serious-minded teenage daughter of Viola and Orsino, falls madly in love with Malvolio. He wrongly believes the young beauty is making fun of him, as Volina repeatedly tries to confess her passion for him. During the course of the play, Volina teaches Malvolio how to risk loving again and how success is often the best revenge. Free to Denison students. Ticket prices are $8 for general admission, $5 for senior citizens, and $4 for students. For reservations, contact the box office at 740-587-6527.
