    Full Description: Project Start Up welcomes auditions for TEDxDenisonU.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is titled TEDxDenisonU, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxDenisonU event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. TEDxDenisonU requests presentation proposals be submitted by December 1, 2013 with auditions scheduled for December 7, 2013.     The Department of Dance presents a concert titled "You Move."

    Full Description: The Denison University Department of Dance will present “You Move, Move You,” a concert of two 25 minute works, from Wednesday, Dec. 4, through Friday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 3 p.m. “You Move, Move You” includes a cast of 24 student dancers, six student musicians and eight student crew, and features works by faculty artists Stafford C. Berry, Jr., Christian Faur, Sandra Mathern, and Guest Artists Lighting Designer Robin Greenwood and Composer Dean Sharp. The concert begins in the Knapp Performance Lab (300 Ridge Road) following this the audience will promenade to the Doane Dance Performance Space (231 West College Street) in the Fine Arts Quad, for the final segment of the concert. The performance is free and open to the public, reservations are required. To reserve a seat, call 740-587-5718 or e-mail dance@denison.edu. One ticket will be provided for the entire performance. Vans will offer limited seats for the elderly, children and others needing transportation to the Fine Arts Quad.
