In 2011, a group of Kappa Alpha Theta sisters served as “special correspondents” for E! News following the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. They reported via Skype from the comfort of their house’s common room.

More about Kappa Alpha Theta

The original portion of the house is the oldest frame house in Granville. The Greek revival front was added in 1840. The house is also known as the birthplace of Freemasonry in Licking County, the Central Star Lodge No. 11 having organized and held their first meeting there in 1910. Built for Elias Gilman Jones, one of Granville's first residents and leader of the first family party to Ohio from Granville, Massachusetts. The Kappa Alpha Theta sorority has occupied the house since 1904 and added a recreation wing in 1958.
