Admission
Denison practices no-harm, test-optional admission. Applicants are not required to submit standardized test scores as part of their application.

Denison practices no-harm, test-optional admission, meaning that applicants are not required to submit standardized test scores as part of their application. While strong test scores can strengthen a student’s application for admission, test scores will never negatively impact a student’s competitiveness.

If applicants choose this option, we will place additional weight on the rigor of their high school curriculum and their performance in the courses they completed. If applicants desire, they may provide ACT and/or SAT scores as additional information in support of their application for admission.

Additionally, Denison practices a “no harm” policy when reviewing test scores. If a student chooses to submit test scores that do not help to strengthen their application, the test scores are simply ignored.

Submission of test scores is optional. Any test scores submitted are superscored.
