Denison University provides access to a broad range of computing and network services to members of the University community so that they may make productive and innovative use of information technologies. These network services are intended for University-related purposes, including direct and indirect support of the University’s instructional, research and service missions.

Granville & Beyond

Denison provides a shuttle service to and from the airport over major breaks. Below is a list of those times so you can keep them in mind when making flight arrangements. However, remember to keep your student’s final exam schedule in mind before making any plans for the holiday break. Please note that there is limited space on the shuttle. Students must reserve their space for the shuttle in the Office of Campus Services, 200 Slayter Union. There is no need to sign-up for the student’s return as they are first-come, first-served from the airport.

Student Finances

Florence Allen Scholarships are awarded annually by The Allen Endowment to provide Ohio women with the opportunity to achieve their full potential through education. Scholarship funds are for the 2015-16 academic year and may be used for courses at accredited degree or certificate granting institutions recognized by a state Board of Regents.

Safety

If you believe a crime or violation has occurred, have witnessed or have evidence of hazing, see suspicious activity on campus, or believe there is someone who is a danger to themselves or others and you would like to report it to Campus Security completely anonymously, please fill out this confidential form.

Registrar

Some foreign countries may require documents to be certified in order to be accepted in the foreign jurisdiction. An “Authentication” and “Apostille” certifies the signature and the position of the official who has executed, issued or certified a copy of a document.

Admissions & Financial Aid

Submit the Common Application along with the Denison Supplement (Part III). The Supplement can be found on the Common Application website once you have added Denison to your list of schools. If you complete the Common Application online, we will waive the $40 application fee. If you prefer to send in a hard copy, you will need to visit Common Application Forms to print off the application. Please include a $40 application fee with the hard copy and mail it to: Denison University, Admissions Office, P.O. Box 740, Granville, Ohio 43023.

Life After Denison

We understand that unexpected academic obligations, work commitments, and illnesses can affect your schedule. However, please advise the Center for Career Exploration of any change as early as possible, as there is a high demand for appointments. Your cancellation will allow us to offer your time slot to another student. Be sure to check your schedule carefully in order to avoid multiple appointment cancellations.

Library

The Denison University Archives collects materials in accordance with the Archives Collection Policy. Records include paper documents, photographs, audiotapes, films, videotapes, scrapbooks, and objects that provide information about the differing aspects of Denison University campus life.

Sustainability

Each year the Sustainability Committee and the Office of Sustainability do a comprehensive analysis of the state of sustainability at the college. The primary functions of the report are: 1) to inform the campus community of the college's successes and 2) help inform decisions moving forward as the college implements in Campus Sustainability Plan.

In 2013 the report became a Fact Book that highlights key Sustainability Data over time. This format has proven to be more valuable to and informative for the campus community and our alumni.

Any Licking County resident over 30 years of age may become a Denison University Community Scholar. A Community Scholar may enroll in only one non-credit course per semester. There is no limit to the number of semesters for which a scholar may enroll. Registration is on a space-available basis.

Neuroscience

Denison's Neuroscience Concentration is designed to offer students an interdisciplinary perspective on the nervous system and behavior, and to provide students with the opportunity to obtain a diverse focus that both complements and broadens the major. Students wishing to pursue the Neuroscience Concentration are strongly encouraged to meet with a Neuroscience faculty member very early in their Denison careers to carefully plan their course of study.

Registrar

Upon reinstatement, Denison expects that you will return to good academic standing by the end of no more than two semesters. This means that: 1) You must earn above a 2.0 each semester, and 2) By the end of two semesters at Denison, your cumulative GPA must improve to a 2.0 or above. This worksheet is designed to help you determine what grades you will need in order to return to good academic standing in this time.

For use if your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) was selected for review in a process called verification. The law says that before awarding Federal Student Aid, we may ask you to confirm the information you and your parents reported on your FAFSA. If there are differences, your FAFSA information may need to be corrected. You and at least one parent must complete and sign this worksheet, and submit the form and other required documents to the financial aid office at Denison.
