Heisey Wind Ensemble Presents Christmas Concert at Denison

The Heisey Wind Ensemble's 20th Anniversary Season continues at 8 p.m. on Saturday (Dec.11) with a Christmas program at Swasey Chapel on the Denison University campus in Granville. Featured at this concert will be the Denison Concert Choir directed by Stephen Caracciolo and Richard Blatti, conductor laureate of the Heisey Wind Ensemble, as narrator for "T'was the Night Before Christmas," a musical setting of the classic Clement Moore poem.
Blatti also will be conducting Leroy Anderson's "Christmas Festival." The Denison Concert Choir will perform two John Rutter works with the ensemble, "The Very Best Time of the Year" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." Selections from Mannheim Steamroller Christmas will be featured, as well as "Sleigh Ride" and other holiday favorites. The audience will be asked to join in a seasonal sing-a-long.

Concert tickets are available at the door; cost is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, and students under 12 are free. Area band directors have free student passes available for their students.
