Expand your horizons

With hundreds of approved programs in dozens of countries around the world, including the United States, your itinerary is only limited by your imagination.

What is it like to study abroad?

Every study abroad experience is unique because, just like your on-campus Denison education, the result is a combination of the program and what you bring to it.

With hundreds of programs to choose from, you can find an experience that fits your academic, personal, and career goals. While off campus, you can:

  • Learn more about a new culture
  • Intern or do field research for credit
  • Challenge yourself to live independently
  • Network with globally-minded peers
  • Build skills for success in careers and life
  • Have fun seeing the world!

How it Works

Most Denison students apply to study abroad during the fall semester of sophomore year and study off campus junior year.

  1. Seek advice and select your program
  2. Complete your Denison application via Global Tools
  3. Complete your program provider application

Several academic programs at Denison, such as global commerce, international studies, modern languages, and global health require or strongly encourage students to study abroad as part of their degree requirements.
