Denison University featured in Princeton Review’s 2015 “Best 379 Colleges”
GRANVILLE, Ohio—Denison University is one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to the Princeton Review. Denison is highlighted in the company’s 2015 “Best 379 Colleges” listing. In addition, the publication includes the college on its list of “Best Value Private Colleges,” “Best Midwestern Colleges,” and “Green Colleges.” WDUB, the college radio station, was ranked as on of the best in the nation for “Best College Radio Station.”
Denison President Adam Weinberg said, “Denison produces leaders, community builders, and innovative thinkers. Our students remind us of the power of the liberal arts through the lives they lead.” He added, “They demonstrate how the liberal arts not only free us to become the person we want to be, they allow us to become a much better person than we otherwise might have been.”
The Princeton Review does not rank colleges in the “Top Colleges” list. The publication, however, does feature 62 separate rankings of the top 20 colleges in various categories, entirely based on their survey of 130,000 students attending the colleges.
As a “Best Value College,” Denison is joined by schools such as Harvard, Princeton and Stanford in being designated as one of the “best overall bargains based on cost and financial aid among the most academically outstanding colleges in the nation.” Only two Ohio colleges, Denison and Kenyon, made the national list.
In the surveys, students were quoted about Denison as saying that “We are so privileged to be surrounded by scholars who are passionate about teaching and learning what they love.” “I see my professors on campus so often that I’m starting to suspect they sleep in their offices.” Another added, “Denison is a place for real people who love caring about each other and learning.”
Denison recently was touted by Forbes Magazine in the top tier of its “America’s Top Colleges” list, and by Kiplinger’s, which ranked it as the No. 1 school in Ohio in its “Best Values in the Liberal Arts Colleges” ranking. Denison also is perennially ranked as a Top 50 school in the U.S. News and World Report’s ranking of “America’s Best Colleges.”
At Denison University, one of the nation's leading liberal arts colleges, motivated students from around the world tailor educational experiences in pursuit of their highest aspirations. Innovative faculty and a completely residential campus provide an integrated learning environment for students to develop as critical thinkers, perceptive moral agents and active citizens in a global community as they prepare for rewarding lives of purpose and impact.
