Current Use 

Barclay-Thomsen Field is home to Denison's men's and women's soccer programs. Nestled in a picturesque corner of the Denison campus, Barclay-Thomsen Field is a stadium-style complex with seating for 1,000 spectators and lights for night competitions. The field is 120x78 yards and is a natural grass surface.

History & Architecture

Barclay-Thomsen Field is named for former Denison coach and athletic director, Ted Barclay and former men's lacrosse coach and professor, Tommy Thomsen.

Ferris “Tommy” Thomsen coached Denison lacrosse to a 255-97 record for 25 years and contributed to the sport’s growth in the Midwest. Over 35 years, Ted Barclay coached swimming, golf, tennis, and men’s and women’s soccer, producing 28 All-Americans.
