To report a concern for a student, complete the Advocate CareNetwork Report form, filling in the information requested.  If you have any questions after completing the report form, feel free to contact the Dean of Students or the Vice President for Student Development.

Advising, Tutoring & Academic Support

A student with a disability who thinks he or she may need an accommodation to access a campus program, activity, or service should complete a Request for Faculty Notification Form each semester and return it to the Academic Support & Enrichment Center. Services and accommodations will not be offered until a student makes this request. Naturally, it is in the student's best interest to make this request as early as possible during each semester.

When registering for classes, students carefully need to consider needs in their major, general education possibilities, prerequisites, and hierarchical structures of some programs.

Admissions | Student Finances

Denison practices need-blind admissions and uses the same approach in awarding merit scholarships. Students are reviewed holistically, and scholarships are awarded to those who possess a strong academic background and who, through a wide range of experiences, demonstrate potential for contributing to our community.

Safety

Denison University’s objective is to maintain a safe and secure campus. Denison is also well aware that college campuses across the country are not sanctuaries protected from unlawful activity. Effective safety and protection require the cooperation and assistance of all members of the University community.

President’s Office | Provost’s Office

Every institution of higher education in the United States is routinely reviewed for accreditation by one of the nation’s regional independent accrediting agencies. Accreditation assures the public of the fundamental quality of the institution. It is also a requirement for a college or university to receive federal or state grants or student loans. Denison University was under review in 2009 by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC-NCA).

Dining

We sometimes reach a time in the year when students begin to reminisce about those comforting meals that could come only from home. With that in mind, we offer our innovative “Favorites From Home” program, bringing home cooking to our campus. Parents and grandparents are the best resource available to make our local menu a little more like “home”!

These courses purposefully connect actions with outcomes in their relation to environmental issues.
