In order to establish your health file with our facility, we ask that you read the following information and carefully observe the requirements and deadlines concerning the health inventory forms.

Host families help new international students adjust to their new cultural surroundings. They also provide entrée into the local community and off campus life. In turn, local families are able to expand their own horizons through friendship with a student from another country. Many relationships between host families and international students last long after the student has graduated from Denison.

The goal of an idling policy at Denison University is to eliminate all unnecessary idling time by vehicles on campus to minimize harmful emissions. Implementing an idling reduction policy on campus is in line with Denison’s goal of reducing green house gas emissions.

The Language and Culture House is an exciting residential option that gives second, third, and fourth-year students a special environment where they can hone their language skills and participate in special cultural events. Students live in a small community of their peers who share enthusiasm for foreign languages and cultures want to sharpen their daily language skills.

This form has moved to MyDenison, under Campus Resources / Library.

The library accepts unrestricted donations of library materials for review. Items are accepted with the understanding that they will be handled in the best interest of the institution. Once given to the library, donations cannot be returned to the donor. Potential donors should provide in advance a list of materials being offered so that their value to the collection may be reviewed.

A Licking County Scholar is defined as one currently completing his/her senior year at a Licking county High School, having earned a high school GPA of 3.4 or above, and is simultaneously registered for one college level course at Denison University. No application fee is required. If after any semester a Licking County Scholar’s semester average is less than 2.00, his or her eligibility for participation in this program shall be terminated.

Students who have previously acknowledged their preference for their federal student loans can request changes to the loan(s) that were offered by completing the Loan Update form and returning to the Office of Financial Aid.

Track One focuses on the workings of American national government and offers a congressional internship as well as coursework.

Track Two focuses on United States foreign policy and international affairs and offers coursework in foreign policy, comparative politics and international politics, as well as internships with the Washington Semester Program.

The Make It Happen! workshop will consist of classroom presentations, discussions, and field trips. Participants are encouraged to identify an area of interest that they can use as a focus for their work during the workshop and beyond.

The May Term internship is an educational experience for students interested in teaching or other educational endeavors. During the internship the student acts as an apprentice to the site supervisor; in schools this takes the form of working a regular teacher's schedule for approximately three weeks. If the classroom teacher accepts the responsibility of directing an intern, then it is reasonable to expect the intern to complete certain objectives.

The meal plans are reviewed and adjusted each year based on surveys of student use and preferences. The following meal plans are available for the 2013-2014 school year. Three traditional meal plans (A, B, and C) are available to all students. In addition to those, three Apartment Alternative Plans (1, 2, and 3) are available to students living in meal-optional housing (apartments and Homestead). One additional plan, the SRH Plan, is available only to seniors graduating in Fall 2013 or Spring 2014 who do not live in an apartment.

Med School Application Requirements

If you would like to initiate a voluntary withdrawal from Denison for medical, personal or other reasons, you must complete an Exit Form and then contact  to schedule an exit interview. If you are requesting a withdrawal for medical purposes, you must also complete a Medical Leave Form form prior to your meeting.
