Retention rates measure the percentage of first-time students who are seeking bachelor's degrees who return the following fall to continue their studies.

To be eligible to receive federal, state and institutional financial aid and to continue to receive that aid a student must maintain satisfactory academic progress toward the completion of his/her degree by maintaining a cumulative 2.0 GPA in addition to earning the required number of hours after each semester of attendance.

Denison practices need-blind admissions and uses the same approach in awarding merit scholarships. Students are reviewed holistically, and scholarships are awarded to those who possess a strong academic background and who, through a wide range of experiences, demonstrate potential for contributing to our community.

Denison University’s objective is to maintain a safe and secure campus. Denison is also well aware that college campuses across the country are not sanctuaries protected from unlawful activity. Effective safety and protection require the cooperation and assistance of all members of the University community.

Denison provides all students, faculty and staff with an online directory listing all members of the Denison University community. Form should be returned only if you would like your name to be excluded from the campus listings.
