At Denison, champions achieve in labs and classrooms as well as in stadiums. To us, a champion’s words are just as powerful as a game-winning goal or a bone-crushing tackle. Scholars, athletes, teachers, coaches, entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, politicians, scientists, activists—all can be champions, and at Denison, they are.

During the internship the student acts as an apprentice to the site supervisor; in schools this takes the form of working a regular teacher's schedule for approximately three weeks. If the classroom teacher accepts the responsibility of directing an intern, then it is reasonable to expect the intern to complete certain objectives.

Denison practices need-blind admissions and uses the same approach in awarding merit scholarships. Students are reviewed holistically, and scholarships are awarded to those who possess a strong academic background and who, through a wide range of experiences, demonstrate potential for contributing to our community.
